Scale Simplex

With any luck , there may be a dreadful picture of one of my Simplex ex-WD sand quarry locos. Kit based .

16mm scale 2ft gauge on 32mm track .

Cool
Do you have any other pics of it?

Needs a new motor, the one in it is DOA, Ive run it so much. I use this one to keep me company when Im out in the garden. Just set it on the track and away it goes. Dont have to worry about it.

Hello Bob ,

I see you like them with their clothes on ! You also like them dirty . A man after me own heart .

I like your model , it certainly is an accurate and attractive representation of the ones working at the Leighton Buzzard Museum which is less than 20 miles from here .

For the technically minded , Bob’s is a Straight Frame Simplex , mine , not surprisingly is Bent.

I like these little critters , they are good fun to build and operate , even down to actual scale derailments .

Sean , if you knew the agony I went through getting that single picture from Picasa to this site , you would not be too surprised to know that , yes I have pictures .

As to presenting them on the forum , I need to lay out on my desk the following-

Tranquillisers . Whisky . New fingernails . Bandage . Jar of water to contain teeth (so’s not to grind them away) . Joss sticks containing opium . Olde English Prayer Book . New English Swear Book .

And that’s just to switch the computer on .

I shall endeavour to post more , and thanks for asking , it gives encouragement .
