Are those brass screws holding it together?
I have a barely used pin nailer sitting in my basement along with many boxes of small pieces of wood. You might just inspire me to find my saws and start work

Yes they are brass screws and brass mini nuts and bolts. Plus some glue for additional strength.
I’m currently digging thru all my books for ideas on some more “small” scrap projects.
Besides the usual flat car or gondola loads.
