Am I missing something here? I’m thinking $175 for each of the engines ($525 total) and $130 for each of the seven cars ($910) for a total of about $1,400 or $1,450. Where is the three grand coming from?
John i’m not saying this is a good price or not but I can say that the Santa Fe baggage car is a saught after piece. I sold mine on e-bay a couple of years ago and got $462.00 for it. And if I had more I could have gotten rid of them too. There was actually a bidding war for it . I don’t think they are available from USA again.
Hello,
Since neither my father or I are active in this scale he browsed the internet to try to find reasonable prices for his equipment. He was a bit surprised that some of the cars sold for more than the locomotives. I believe there are actually 8 cars and if I remember correctly he based his pricing at $300.00 each for the cars and $600.00 for the three locomotives. If there is a place where we can go to to get more accurate valuation for the pieces please let us know. I also understand some of this equipment is no longer made? He does not want to rip anyone off yet he would like to get a decent value for what he has. Remember, these cars and engines are basically brand new and some have never been taken out of the boxes.
