Where on this locomotive is the “filler neck”? building fueling/sand facility and trying to get an idea of how to model sand filler portion. Fuel oil is all figured out already. I have gotten quite a few pictures to use for that feature. Thanks in advance.

I think he’s asking where the sand hatches on the SD70M, SD70MAC, & SD70ACe are.
There are two hatches on the nose, one in front of the engineer’s windshield, the other in front of the fireman’s windshield (ya, I know the fireman went the way of the caboose, but its still the fireman’s side of the cab).
The tail-end hatch is either on top of the long hood at the very end, or in a dimple on the end of the long hood
Thanks Jason. I am improvising my sand tower as I can not accommodate a “drive thru” for Loco. Needed where to position rigging and hoses relative to loco position at fuel station for the SD70. Going to use some of the ideas from the Mill Fuel Station and pics from net.
