Safety First

…NOT!

Check out the driver’s assistant. Notice how safety conscious he is… It’s obvious that they don’t have any safety standards in Taiwan. I’ve viewed several vids from there and they are all the same when it comes to safety. I wonder what the life expectancy of those workers is…

Safety First

Same in Cuba, Mexico, India, etc.
They don’t have big brother, like we do, (OSHA, WISHA) watching their every move.
Nor do they have ambulance chasers wanting to sue for any little thing, such as a scratched finger.

While I agree with you in part, I do think this is going a little too far. Taiwan is far more developed than the other countries you mentioned and I would have expected a little more concern for safety than what I’ve seen…without becoming California anal.

Sheesh! Now you why back in the link and pin days, old timers were called “lefty”

Neat video, Warren - thanks for posting!

Hope some Queenslanders spot your post, especially anyone who’s recently seen and/or worked sugar trains in the north of the state. Don’t know how they handle the small cane trains up there, but would be interested to hear how it compares.

It’s amazing what some young blokes will do for a quid.

It was a Queensland cane worker that passed that link on to me. Their indication was that their labor and safety people would not take too well to that kind of disregard.

Now, enjoy the Queensland version of the cane train:
