Large Scale Central

Sad news: we lost another fellow train guy!

So sorry to hear that… Had many good dealings with Ray over the years…

He’ll be missed…

Judging by the posts, here and elsewhere, Ray was a well respected member of the American railroading community.

As I have mentioned, elsewhere, it is sad when a dedicated model railroader passes on: there are too few of them already.

I offer condolences to his family and friends. I know they will miss him.

Ray will be missed, a great large scale modeler and member of the Rusty Rails LS group.

Rest in peace Ray

Stan

When I emailed him about the cars for sale, I asked about his health. He said, “don’t cry for me. I’ve had a great life! I have a great family and it’s been s good life.”
Truly a great man to say that. God bless him, his family and friends.
I met him too late! We lost a great advocate for G scale.

He was a great guy, we corresponded and talked quite a bit. He got part of a Pioneer Zephyr and I tried to help him some on that. He really knew electronics also, made me a board for my LS Mikado so the Aristo control would trigger a servo for the whistle. Knew he had cancer bad, but he didn’t want it broadcast. He was pretty much the world expert on Great Trains also. Really going to miss him.

My condolences to Rays family

I found out yesterday on my way home from work! I talked to ray often, every week and I am truly sadden I never got to meet him in person. I met ray here as a great trains lover! He got me hooked on the amtrak super liners long and shirt versions!
He was a great man and was very gracious! Had a great sense of humor! Here are wake arrangements
