Sad News, Dave Crocker passed away

I am very sad to convey the following email I received from Bob Baxter earlier this week regarding Dave Crocker.

“Dave passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 1st, following a courageous two year battle with a particularly virulent form of cancer. Dave made significant contributions to any project in which he was involved. He will be missed.”

I was very sad to hear this. Dave was active with the Del Oro group for many years and more recently was very active member of the Door Hollow Shortline. I waited until to post this in case Bob or Don Gage would post the news. Dave was a nice guy and a terrific modeler. He will be missed.

Yes sad news. Dave was a great guy.

Some years ago I purchased from Dave a Bachmann 2-8-0 he rebuilt into Rio Grande Southern K-27 #461. Lovely model:
