Sad Day in Studebaker land

Sunday afternoon one of the local alley people cut my security fence… and in the end burnt down my 1952 Studebaker 4dr Commander…

I’m one pissed off guy… The police did catch him coming out of the fence… But too late for my ‘52. Only thing to do now is to part it out…

Oh man Dave that is just sad and sorry.
Studes are getting hard to find in any kind of good condition.
They hold a special place in my heart, my first car at 17 was a 49 Stude pickup.
Man I loved that truck, had to sell it when I went into the Service.

I hope that criminal faces some harsh consequences.

That’s awful! I have our family’s '72 COUGAR. While no where near restored, I would be devastated if a local meth addict harmed “her.” Cars, like our trains, are also conveyances of memories. Their destruction carries emotional weight beyond their cost.

Hopefully, justice will be swift and fair and, in some way, make up for your loss.

Eric

That is tragic and terrible. What is it with some Losers that have to destroy other peoples property?

If someone destroyed my custom car I would be heart broken.

Friggin low life that did that!
I had a 57 Golden Hawk back in the '60’s. Stupidly sold it.

Full pressing of charges, someone that would do that for kicks would also burn down a house with a family inside it for kicks, get them off the street.

So sorry for your loss Dave.

Very sorry about your tragic loss, Dave. For no reason at all. Ticks me off; I can’t imagine what you’re feeling.

Any news on prosecuting the culprit?

Dave when you have a chance give us a pic of the 52 in its glory.

This is very sad to see. I’m really sorry. It’s one thing to loose something replaceable, but…

My Facebook profile pic is me at about 7 in front of a Studebaker Hawk. I have no idea who’s it was.

“Studebaker Hawk, Yeah Yeah, Studebaker Hawk - Studebaker Hawk”

A 1956 Studebaker Golden Hawk, one of 4,071 ever made posing behind a 1952 me - the only one made…
