Running my new Hartland Locomotive Works rail bus around the main line. Runs well, but is very sensitive to dirty track. Much more so than my Piko 0-6-0. Followed it around the loop and cleaned the track wherever it hesitated or stopped. After that it ran flawlessly. This will be the street car for Sprite City when we get that line laid.
Yep, as long as the power can get to the motor, HLW’s products will happily keep doing their thing until told otherwise.
These are great units and I’ve ran them for years. Very easy to convert to battery/RC.
I like that rail bus Daniel. I have a Aristocraft version but I think I like the HLW one better. I put a mylocosound in mine to give it some life and it works well.
I’d say the need for clean track is due to the really short wheelbase.
The short wheel base should make it perfect for running on the street car line once it’s in place.
