Cool idea Lou. G scale central did this. Someone sent a boxcar from ne person to the other. It started in CA. Each person signed it and posted a picture of it on their railroad. Its been in the US Canada UK and still today its making its rounds. I think they called it the round robin. I had it as well as Vic.

It’s currently in New Zealand and going to Australia next.

The train dropped of a stranger in town today!

Glad he made it, Sean. Looking good, too!

The Roaming Roving Rooster has made it to Cape Cod for a visit to the ol Rock Root and Pup Pop RailRoad. The weather hasn’t been particularly nice so he was chilling out down at the coop but this morning wasn’t too bad so the tour commenced.

Here the Rooster checks out the new engine house.

He then went over to check out the new turntable. The tour was delayed when he spent nearly 20 minutes scratching around the pit.

The Rooster was excited to visit the Farm but the RR has been taking so much land lately that the farmers have given up on the crops and started constructing a “Thunderdome” “where one chicken enters and only one leaves” They hope to stage fights and earn money as bookies.

Rooster rode around the RR on the back of a flat car. He is pretty tall after all and all was well until a little mishap with a low hanging branch. TMZ was on hand to video the tour so you will have to stay tuned for the video release of that.

At the end of the tour Rooster was no where to be found but after a quick search he was found chatting up some “chicks” and thinking about purchasing a vacation home here on Cape Cod.

Where will Rooster end up next ? Contact me and he will fly your way.

Todd you could send Rooster my way I will certainly take care of him!

Does anyone in Mass. want to host Rooster or shall he be sent packing to Pennsylvania?

Here is a link to the video taken of the Rooster Run on tour of my RR.

Going to Pennsylvania gets him closer to us on the desert.

That bird is on the fly!

Todd, send to Doug! There is no telling what Rooster will do to Rooster!

‘send to Doug! There is no telling what Rooster will do to Rooster!’

I do not want to know.

The chicken has flown the coop from the Cape! Who knows where he will land? We should have an idea next week. Stay tuned.

I’m glad the Rooster made it beyond Thunderdome!

If the old cock makes it to the Pac Northwest, he’ll be in the stew pot in short order!

One of the residents of Silver Onyx looks down the tracks today to see if he spots the Rooster.

Why is the town so anxious to see if the Rooster’s coming? Only time will tell!

I thought Rooster was coming to me David Russell?

Look in the mirror, Rooster!

Scary, isn’t it?

We had an earthquake today. Does it mean Rooster looked in the mirror?

So the word on the street was Rooster would be coming back home to the CVRR for a brief inspection of the railroad while touring the east coast. His friends were excited about this and hired a band for his arrival. They all stood impatiently waiting while the band played.

Then suddenly someone shouted “Here comes the train”!!!

The band jammed loudly as the train came to a stop at the Washington St. Station.

Holy crap beckoned Daffy I can’t believe your here. You look good Rooster and it appears like you have been working on your tan as well.

They all stood and chatted for awhile awaiting Bobby the Boxcab and the CVRR’s work crew to arrive and take him for an inspection of the CVRR as there have been some major trackage realignments going on. After about 1/2 hr the crew finally showed up and Rooster climbed aboard.

SO LONG ROOSTER they shouted as the inspection train and crew pulled away!

First stop was checking to see how the trackage looked for the installation of a new double wide bridge. All looks good here says Rooster

They traveled down the line and across the viaduct to inspect the placement of a bridge that was moved. Along the way Rooster screamed STOP! He couldn’t believe his eyes as the CVRR had it’s very first switch installed!

They proceeded across the newly placed bridge when one again Rooster shouted STOP!

The train came to a grinding halt in a nick of time as Friar Fred was standing on the edge of the bridge getting ready to jump!!

Rooster jumped out of the crew car and walked down to talk some sense into Fred. “Father Fred” shouted Rooster “what in the hell are you thinking”! Friar Fred replied " Rooster I’m quite tired of seeing bridges without the proper bridge ties and guardrails and this one is the final straw for me"!

Rooster then said " Ok Fred I’ll tell you what, if you hop on my train with me I will have them drop us off at a local Speak Easy and then we can walk in town to the local House of Ill Repute then perhaps you can forget about the bridge?

Friar Fred agreed and away they went. But first Rooster wanted to stop and have a talk with God about his experience with Fred and ask for forgiveness for what he was about to do. So he did!

Later that afternoon they arrived at the Speak Easy and Shawnette came out from the secret entrance with some good cold beer to greet them and take them inside.

After a few hours at the “drinking depot” as the locals called it, they were headed up the tracks and off to the Brothel. Friar Fred was running so fast Rooster couldn’t keep up. I can’t believe Fred left me all alone in this tunnel exclaimed Rooster.

Rooster finally arrived at the house only to find Fred pounding impatiently on the front door! Stop!! said Rooster: they will never open the door unless you give the secret “Cock a Doodle Doo”

Fred and Rooster left the house and headed into town. Fred had broken the toilet there and he promised Madam Viggiano that he would return with the parts and repair it for her. They stopped at Eberly’s Lumber which was right up the street but they didn’t have the parts Fred needed. However they did spot the gorilla that has been on the loose in the area ever since Dave Hollywood Marconi wrecked his circus train in town and allowed it to escape.

So they headed up the street to the local True Value where they acquired the necessary parts to repair Madam Viggiano’s toilet.

As they were returning to the brothel Rooster looked at his watch and said “Holy Crap” I need to get back to the station stop as the CVRR business train is picking me up and taking me into the city where I will jump another train and continue my journey. So Friar Fred accompanied Rooster back to the station where he boarded OCS #2 and headed out.

As Rooster sat quietly on the train he wondered where the next train will take him?
