On the other hand, I could bring him to York, and we could take our pictures for Christmas cards.
Remember the old stuffed geezer that was there one year dressed as a conductor?

We haven’t heard about Rooster lately. I hope that nobody thought he was a big “Tom” and slaughtered him for turkey day.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
Todd
Rooster was doing some Hush-hush covert work, for one of the alphabet soup agencies, the kind that you just don’t talk about. “If I told you what it was,” he said, “I’d have to kill you.” I didn’t pursue the matter. Let him have his fantasies. Frankly, I think he found a job playing the piano in a parlor house in the North Beach section of San Francisco.
Anyway, long story short, I caught up with him late one night, just one step ahead of the Sheriff at Mound House on the Colorado Consolidated RR, Dave Goodsen Prop.

If he’s not careful, he’ll get run over by GN 1703, hauling a local freight.
The next morning, I ran into him riding the turntable, still at Mound House. I hope he doesn’t leave toxic waste on top of that cab.

Rooster was next seen trying to get some ice at Ice Station Zebra, or perhaps he was just lost. Who knows, he keeps his own counsel.

Here is Rooster sneaking around the depot at White Rock.I’m guessing that he finally got tired of travelling by Shank’s Mare.

Rooster was seen trying to outrun the train on the trestle.

I hope he makes it, its a long way down.

The last time that Rooster was seen on the Colorado Consolidated was at the Glory Meat Packing Plant. Whether Rooster realized what was going on at the plant and excaped, or whether he was caught up in the horrors of the plant is unknown, as he has not been seen, since.

Stay tuned, sports fans, for any further developments.
Boy he’s getting around!
I don’t know Steve, in the picture of the trestle, I see a hunter in the background.
“Shhh. Be vewy, vewy quiet. I’m hunting Woosters.”
Great to see more of the Rooster’s adventures!
Very good steve.
Paul
Great photos and story Steve. I Bet he is glad he didn’t stay around the meat packing plant long.
All of the places he has been and gets in to, surprised that the other foot haven’t stepped in something like the Green foot has yet.

Rooster was spotted in Skykomish, Washington, photos as soon as I can get the film out of the soup.
You’ll never guess who dropped in unexpectedly and crashed our club’s Christmas party, non other than the famous rooster! He immediately took up roost on my fireplace mantle so that he could observe all that was going on.
Of course, shortly after that, he took up roost under the Christmas tree checking out all the gifts that were brought for the gift exchange between club members.
A few days later he accompanied me out to another club member’s house where we were running trains on his indoor layout. Everything started out ok as rooster positioned himself on top of some rolling stock so he could survey the landscape.
He was even able to catch a ride on one of the trains.
Of course, that led him over to the table to check out the goodies and while everyone wasn’t looking he even helped himself to a few cookies and donuts.
That led to a mishap on his next ride where he left a little mess for the conductor and brakeman to clean up.
Shortly before he left, he graced us with a picture of himself with a nice message for everyone at Large Scale Central. “Happy Holidays”
Then we saw him heading out on the last train. He never told us where he was going. He just hopped on the train and left. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see where he show’s up at next.
Of course, hopefully he’ll return after winter to enjoy a ride on the “CNC Railroad” and visit with the locals.
Scary, Rooster is so close.
Hey Chuck while you have him why not strap him to your new CNC Router and see how much pain he can tolerate while he is cut up !

I thought Col. Saunders may have grabbed him…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Na he’s been hibernating or vacationing in the Pacific Northwest where we have had very little snow and now lots of warm weather. But I saw him catch a flight out of Spokane International Airport this morning heading East. He said something about wanting to cool off a little. I’m not sure what that means but maybe with all that snow back there he’ll be happy. At least he not eating me out of house and home anymore.
Chuck
Did Rooster meet up with Whitey Bulger when he was @ Bob’s?
Haven’t seen him in a while
I was out doing a bit of rail fanning this past weekend getting some nice runs. After I got the days catches downloaded and started going through them for editing, this is what I found. …
