Large Scale Central

Round and Round with the GP40

Took a break from hauling in dirt the other day to run a short train. I wanted to see what the grain elevator was going to look like outside. It’s still a work in progress, but that’s the location that it will be going to.

Cool looking great

Nice video, Matt…

Love it cuz!

I think maybe we should talk about my Chessie stuff before I cut it up!

Thanks guys!!!

Nice But boy some of those cars are real dirty! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

I’m glad to see people upping their game with the videos, using low angles and varying the light on the train, shorter cuts. Long cuts are, frankly if the background (scenery, structures, details) aren’t interesting, boring. In short, making the scenes look as real as possible is the key. I come from a film background, so these things are second-nature to me. Keep up the good work. Oh, and I like dirty. It makes everything look real.

lol. Sean, a couple of the cars might have been in service for an extended period of time. lol. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Thanks Andrew. I like to take videos. There is no scenery or structures on the railroad yet. I"m still in the construction phase, but can’t resist to run a train and take a video. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

You railroad looks great Matt . It seems to be staying on the track and that’s always a good thing ! I like all the foreground area you have between the wall and the tracks , many possibilities .

Thanks Mike! Yeah, for the track not having rail clamps, or screwed together, or ballast…it does quite well! lol. I’ve been collecting buildings and structures here lately. I still have a small area to back fill and I think I’ll have that done this sunday. So, hopefully not too long from now I can start putting some scenery out!
