Rotary plow FAIL video

We got some snow last night so this morning the rotary was brought out and put to the test. It was backed up by a GP38 and a NW2 with a caboose in tow. While blowing along on the back stretch it hit a hidden impediment and derailed to the point of jackknifing which busted the coupler and stirrup step. After that I started making a video and caught 2 more “episodes” which you will have to see.
Lots of fun in the snow.

Nice. That rotary worked pretty good until you broke it  Here’s your video embedded… Those wedge plows only seem to derail on elevated sections. December 2010…

Might this stick have been the cause?

We’ll never know. The NTSB was never notified. The crew quickly got everything cleaned up and all evidence destroyed.

Thanks Jon.
I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one who has experienced troubles while playing in the snow.

 I like the look of my stone load, but your brick is a lot easier to clean up !
