Rooster's 2026 Mik Build > "Limpid"

Despite the snowy weather I dug out for “shed” time and the rest of the snow will still be there waiting for me in the morning. The Japanese soaking tub got some old growth redwood trim around the base and then we turned on the lights.

I did play around with the blue and as cool as it was as a stand alone element it was way to much blue with the rest of the gym mixed in. Besides the tub is it’s own element in the overall theme and yes, the blue made Grovers ass look fat!

With that said all the elements together and ready for test fit .

TEST…

SO FAR I ain’t SPENT A DIME !! I even found change under the couch cushions.

Dragging you back to the baggage car enquiry…. Got room for one of these?

At this price you could mount one in the cab too! Heck, at the Aussie exchange rate you probably could fit out every car and still be under the USD $35 limit.

Grover and Cookie showed up today for a quick work out.

Later that afternoon past (and present) Mik entrants were invited to check out the new digs. However only a handful showed up due to the Pennsyltucky weather today.

I’ll tell ya’ what Bill, you find me a 1080p flat screen TV that size and I throw it the Amtrak baggage car for you. Who want’s to see themselves while riding in an enclosed car?

Or possibly it’s deeper than that, isn’t it Bill ? Ya’ never know what could happen in an Amtrak baggage car if someones in there and detects the camera. Ahh, wait maybe we should be even sneakier and put the camera in the smoke detector instead.

We could even live stream the smoke detector cam in the baggage car and call it
“VoyeUrTraK” : … Baggage Bondage …Vol 1

It would be cool if that camera could bluetooth to your computer for either a canned video or a live YouTube feed, while journeying around your layout. Maybe mount the camera on an RC servo, which is remotely operated, to pan from side to interior to side. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Might as well throw a disco ball in there as well! Call it “Under the smoke detector” Vol 2

I opened up Pandora’s box. Is this what you’re looking for?

Rooster-cise workout videos?

Did you go to the site to see the price?

Nope, I have one already Bill and the ideas are so old hat. Honestly, it’s up in my attic and even free but it’s in my attic. Perhaps you would like to go up to my attic and fetch it for me.

Awesome, Bill! But before you expend your expertise further on this, keep in mind what Rooster would be playing for his crew…

Scary looking train from the outside!

Cliff closest I can find is this… nothing with an old hat though.

Well Bill if your not done jacking up the thread yet I decided to take some pictures for you.

I even changed the channel a couple times. However nothing on but train shows, a medieval war movie and a little something on HBO.

This post is what triggered me to make a phone call 11 days ago. After posting this I figured I’ll give him a couple days…nothing but crickets…I had it all planned out, I was gonna tell him I figured out who the guy was. His name is Hugh Fuker and he lived in York County cause he “would have” called me and told me his name.

I suppose the story is finished.

Marconi

Never did get to tell him that he had a stepbrother in Lancaster County and his name was Hugh Fukerman

I’m sure he would have enjoyed your joke, Rooster. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Cliff,
He usually stated his name to me when calling before saying " What’s up".

I worked for a trucking company , and the company name was HR Express, the owner and the only employee and answered the phone kind of loudly “MIKE SPEAKING!!!” David must have had some English background , but probably not with the Marconi last name!

I guess I need to update my Mik build as it’s been a bit stagnant. I can’t really add much currently other than I believe this is fitting.
This build is dedicated to Dave (Hollywood) Marconi as it was the last one of mine he was part of. I would like to thank him for all the cheers and jeers over the years but most of all the down right fun!

I know you would approve of the choice of song “old man”

SO with that said this is what I got for 2026 Mik. I feel pictures say a 1,000 words and besides they are nice for guys like me that cannot read very well.

As you know it’s just an interior but a “goofy one” that will slide into any Aristo Smoothside car. Haven’t tried the Streamliiner yet but it probably will as well.

Staying in the spirit of Mik I spent “zero” money as I had all the raw materials on hand. I will also note that all this work could be easily done with out fancy tools and can certainly be done with hand tools only as that’s how I did most of it. Kinda speaking out loud to a gentleman with the name Wade which comes to mind but that’s a different story.

I decided to pull this car NIB Aristo Smoothside out of the box ( to the horror of the Lionel guys) and slide my 2026 MIK build "Limpid " into the car. I realized I now have plans for this car and know it’s name but it will not have this interior.

The entire crew showed up for the dedication along with a band and some behind the scene’s guys.

Drone Shot …

Then the after hours party…Note my dog Rocky left and went to lay down in the car.
