Rooster, I did my chores. Did you?

John,
I haven’t had any boxes to take out lately but I’m glad to see your getting the place cleaned up. I have a couple of Aristo Craft boxes but I’m saving them for pictures once I finish the cars. Just like I did with the LGB Superliners and LGB Viewliners.

I just threw out the box from a $50 LGB set, only I cut mine up as to not take up space in the can.

I’m bummed that I didn’t take a pic of the epic stack I threw out in early January, as part of the basement overhaul. All makes & sizes, and after breaking them all down (and removing the styrofoam, our recyclers won’t take that) the flattened carboard filled a huge box the size of a small coffin.

You can throw out Bachmann boxes all day long with no issue. LGB and Lionel boxes are apparently a punishable crime!

Cliff,

if you cut them up, go one step further. use them as building material.
LGB packing material lasts more than 30 years, indoors.

OK John,

You made me go to the vault for these dusty old pics!

Lewis decided they were 3rd place in the modeling contest that year so I smashed the boxes!

But Weird Al’s parody of Bad (called Fat) would probably go better with smashing boxes.
