Large Scale Central

Ron's Live Steam Micro

wow Ron that looks great. I have to finish mine this winter now that I have a spot in the basement for it. Ill have to get some of that stuff to creat water for my creek. Thats just what I was looking for.

Now you can run all winter long.

Thanks Shawn, Its your mico that gave me the inspiration(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif). And thanks for the track.

Great Ron!

What train are you planning to run on it?

That is a true RRR !

Thanks Sean, So far I have run a Roundhouse Billy A Berkeley Cricket A Bellflower Cricket. And they all ran great on the layout. I will be posting some video this weekend.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

This first video is of my Berkeley Cricket on my new Micro. I bought this Cricket third hand and sent it to Art Ruiz of Bellflower Locomotive Works. He refurbished it and it will run 33 mins. on one tank of water. Thanks Art! The second video is my Bellflower Cricket that Art custom built for me.

Very cool

Ron,

You certainly take that RRR badge seriously! I got dizzy watching the videos. The workmanship is superb, but the engineer in the first video is so large he looks like the Hulk. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Hehe, Yes Joe it is definitely a roundy round. I think Boomer would be proud(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif) And yes Gulliver is a big boy. But he was made for this cricket, and I like the way it looks. He is 1 inch scale and I have a 7/8ths driver too. IL Grillo is Italian for the cricket. yessir, that is nice!

please enlighten me about the how-to of the waterfall.

the birch trees - bought or homespun?

Korm, I forgot about your question on the birch trees. I bought them in a train store in Palmer Mass. I did not think I would find anything with g scale. mostly HO. then on a consignment shelf was four trees in a box for 25.00. I believe it was dept 56. But a nice size for my micro.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Looks good Ron. The smaller steamers look great on it.

Thanks Shawn, I also had a roundhouse Billy run on it. Which ran great. Anything bigger wont make the small diameter.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
