Rollover! And great Accucraft Service again

I was running EBT #12 on Jerry’s new loop, finding the places where the track needed a slight tweak. We found the spot where a support was pushing up the track in the center, allowing this heavy beast to tilt outwards, and it rolled off the track and fell about 12" into the yard.

Fortunately it is built like a tank, and while the stack got filled with the dirt and grass, the rest of the engine was OK. Jerry got out the shop vac and sucked the debris out!

Except, that is, for the fake steam safety valves on top of the dome. You’ll notice one is missing and the other is bent. I emailed Cliff at Accucraft to see if they are available as a spare, and this morning the P.O. delivered replacements. Great job by Accucraft, again!

Yes! Reinforce the image of good service – with kudos to outstanding service! Secondly, give a full measure to those who proclaim but don’t deliver.
This site is needed to keep honoring and reinforcing those who provide what we all want: Ethics!

Glad it made it through the accident ok. That’s got to be the worst feeling seeing I,t as its falling. Accucraft is great to deal with and Cliff is great.

No surprise you were well taken care of. Big surprise that the loco suffered such minor damage. Good thing it was mulch below, not rocks. Didn’t the real #12 go on it’s side once?

Yeah on its first run up the mountain at Kimmel…

Man, for a minute I thought that was Robbie’s train at AndyC’s with all the wires sticking out.
