How do you secure the point joiners on your switches, or are they free floating?
Steve I use a pair of side cutters and crimp the joiner on the rails on the frog end. I also spread the joiner out a little on the point side of the joiner to let the points move freely. For the throw bar I use a piece of printed circuit board that extends to beyond the rails like this.

I use 00-90 screws through the rail flanges into threaded holes in the throw bar. Rodney
