Roco buys Fleischmann

That’s the point, you don’t know Jack!

You know that could be/is a huge advantage, a lot less likely to believe in “Wait 'til next week”, “the banks are on board”, “…speed is essential.” and all that other hoopla.

Next thing we know the headline could be “Roco buys Fleischmann” and having read the reports one would ask: “Really? What’s this all about?”
Conclusion: “Looks like the Ventilator Reporting Service (VRS)”

PS Have you read the “Dogs are Smarter Than Jack” series? Those guys are on to something!

Here we go again…

Warren, Last Fleischmann stuff I bought was a very long time ago, must be 40 years or so.

You’re right must have been when I still had a “Round n Round” HO setup in Switzerland. Well even then it was one of the folded dogbone types, to make it a little more interesting. PS one more parallel: When Fleischmann started their HO line back in 1952 the scale was 1:82, later they went to 1:85 and then finally to 1:87. Must be something in the Nürnberg water that induces the Gummi factor.

Shoot the computer. Less mess to clean up.

Mark,

So did I!

But, do you happen to know who Roland Fleck is?

You should read his most recent glorification of things in Nürnberg and then juxtapose that with his spin during the EPL insolvency. Oh vey, oh vey!

JB,

Apart from a bit more accurate “reporting”, I don’t give a fig either. Fleischmann has never really interested me.

Dear Mr Mueller - are you Jewish? If not, please stop taking the piss out of those of us on this NON-Religious forum who are, or I'll start with the 'Christian jokes'.

And yes, there are many.

And, BTW, many Fleischmann H0 passenger cars are NOT 1/87th, but 1/100th scale - many modellers find that true-scale length of most German and other European passengers cars too long in H0. Makers like ROCO and ADE among others DO make scale length passenger cars - they average about 1.5" longer than the Fleischmann equivalent.

Dear Mr. Foley,

Oi vey!!!

On the Fleischmann scale: have you ever seen some of the 1:82 and 1:85 items beside a 1:87 item? It is just as “interesting” as putting a LGB F7 beside a USA F3.

BTW presently I’m reading “Kalooki Nights”, as much of an eyeopener as a F7 beside a F3.

you guys are “Poco Loco”!! Terry lighten up!!! Too many problems in the world now without it starting up here in our little train forumhttp://
