River Run Day....Wheeeeeee!

I was invited to the First Annual River Run Day in Kettle Falls WA this last weekend. As this was a 7 1/2" gauge event, I packed up Pie Cart and off we went. What a shindig! It was an all afternoon event with good food, good music and train rides…or in my case giving rides. Lots of people showed up and lots of kiddies too. As it started at noon, the first event of the day was FOOD!

The band entertained us while we ate.

Besides riding trains after lunch, the kids also had a trampoline to jump on and badminton to play. This little boy was enjoying the trampoline while the girls were off doing something else.

Oh, yes, trains…This is the owner’s Speeder and cars.

And a real speeder.

A Rail Pup for the kids.

And of course, Pie Cart.

And Pie Cart with the speeder in the background.

And the only picture I was able to take of any train carrying passengers was the ride given to the band…and yes, they were playing.

It was a real blast. Unfortunately, since I was running my locomotive I was unable to get pictures of the trains with passengers. A friend of mine that was there did get some and I’ll post those when I can pry them from his fingers…

Warren,

That really does look like fun. I do like your boxcab too. Spectacular!
