Finally got around to editing the video of my excursion to Stettler, Alberta; home of the Alberta Prairie Railway. A tourist line running down to Big Valley (approx 20 miles). Running a big Mountain Type - ex-CN 6060 aka Bullet Nose Betty), there’s just one minor disappointment … on the way down during daylight the engine is running tender first since they have no facilities to turn the engine at either Stettler or Big Valley.
Other than that, it was quite entertaining, especially catching, then keeping ahead of the train to the different crossings. And 6060’s whistle is just like a symphony.
A superb and immense sized loco H-J. Very enjoyable to watch plus the added lineside interests - elevator, oil pump, and ladies in period? dress.
Great video HJ! Beautiful country I might add. THX for posting.
Nice Vid HJ.
All I’m seeing is a black rectangle where the video should be.
Very nice.
