Ridge Road Station does it again

NO !! Not a problem …But customer service is outstanding again. I was wondering what happened to the new live steam engine I had ordered a few weeks ago and called them to find out what happened. They said they would call back just as soon as they get an answer. Short time later, same day, I got a phone call and they found out that UPS has the engine in one place for six days. No reason why from UPS. After calling me back, later on in the day, I received an email from RRstn with some more information.

RRstn sure does the right thing at least by me… Do I order from any where else? Not on your life as besides the service, their pricing is pretty darn good. Is your version different?

If they have what I need…they get the order. I don’t bother looking anywhere else.

Yep, me too…I order from Ridge Road Station just about exclusively! Infact last weekend I ordered 4 cases of Aristo SS 5’ straight track @ 269.99 per case + Aristo still has the buy 4 get 1 free deal going on. All that gets the price down to around $3.70 @ foot!! Ridge Road is the best and they don’t “play” with the prices like a big midwest store does!!

RRS has always done right by me as well…not that I’m out ordering a ton, but what biz I have done with them has been far superior to my experiences with other Mail-Order stores!

Ridge road has been good for me, but I’m also very very happy with RLD hobbies. They don’t list anything they don’t have, they ship quickly, they have a generous return policy

They generally have competitive pricing as well!...thanks for the reminder!

You basically pay for what you get. Give a little on price and you’ll get great service and many times actually a better price/value than a low cost leader, that is putting false claims into advertising. I have had very good service with both Ridge Road Station and RLD Hobbies.

Who has been your major supplier? You stated something the other day or earlier in this thread that made me wonder who you purchase from.

If Dave has it/sells it, I buy from him. Most of the rest comes from RRS. I like good service, both of those companies provide excellent service!

You heard the story about the oats?

New client at the feedmill inquiring about the price of oats. Finds them a bit high.

Proprietor: “Sorry there’s only the one grade, best oats we can buy … but I make you a deal, I’ll process them through my horse and then you get them at a much lower price.” :wink: :slight_smile:

They have been tops for me…and I will get to go by there later this month actually, always wanted to see the place.

RRS has always done good by me. They even called me once and said they made an error in shipping and charged me too much. When was the last time you heard that from someone? Other than some very specific items i order everything from them.

Their store is fantastic as well, it’s always fun to go there.
