Ridge Road LGB pricing

A perusal of the Ridge Road site shows expected 2009/2010 delivery items plus accessory/track items available now. Suprisingly, track and accessories are priced approximately 20% less than Ridge Road prices of 12 months ago. The anticipated price expectations were for a price rise (not a 20% reduction).

On a similar note, well that might not be? They have dropped the Ozark stuff down to 50% off…

Darryl,
the Ozark line is reduced as the store is disposing of their stock and discontinuing the the range. The LGB stock is newly released/manufactured items. In recent times Ridge Road’s stock of LGB has dwindled to almost nothing as regards track and accessories. Hopefully, the price reductions will ensue for some time to come. Cases in point are the LGB R3 electric switch for less than $70.00 and the switch machine for around $24.00. This is basically half the prices being sought last year. Even the manual R5 switch is less than $120.00.

Tim,

I looked at some of the listed rolling stock prices, they put all the predictions regarding the price structure with Walthers as the distributor into the “fantasy world” category. I’m patiently waiting for the Rp-w flats.

RRS needs to fine tune their site a bit more, the “Brand: Silvergate Distributors” line in the detailed info is certainly a “mistake”.

Tim

As I stated, similar or maybe not, the point was that one could get Ozark of which RRST has at 50% off…

I didn’t check prices but on Wednesday I was at the train shop I use and they just received a large LGB shipment including track and many parts they hadn’t seen in awhile.
