Glad to see you’re back in business, Ric!
I’ve been away from the forum for a while, so only just seeing this now. Ric, very glad to hear you’re out of the hospital and on the mend! Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Hi Ray and All,
Thank you for the kind thoughts and concerns. Really very little recovery was required. It was just maintenance. Biggest slow down has been a little case of poison ivy, that got bigger while I was institutionalized and now gone, and an abrupt change in many medicines by an arrogant, so called doctor, that was surprised we had running water and plumbing out here in Clinton County, Southern Illinois.
Things I’m learning - just cus some Quack wants to change your meds, don’t do it all at once. If its not immediately life threatening. Do it one at a time, so you can figure out which one is causing the “legal high” and dizziness. I’d like to punch the sob, but I’m not sure I’d hit the right one of the 3 I’m currently seeing. Stan warned me there’d be days like this.

So you are saying this is all Stan Nostradamus fault then ?
Is he the reason dad trips and falls as well ?
Gravity is a nasty opponent and it always seems to win. Biggest problem is trying to live without it.

And it’s good to know it’s out of my control.
If there’s one thing I have learned from all this living
Is that it wouldn’t change a thing if I let go.”

I am glad to see you are back in business Rici!

I’M Back! Thank you all for the concerns and I certainly appreciate the friendships.
Really not a whole lot more to say. I’m good! I guess I have to look at this as just
maintenance and really surprised I’ve lasted this long without having something done.
Had a great time at Andy and Jane’s over the weekend. It was hot, but we all stayed
hydrated and took turns cooling off. Biggest problem I struggled with all weekend was a
minor case of poison ivy. Back home about 7 pm Sunday, set up truck in backyard and
had supper about 8 pm. Something didn’t feel right with the Garlic Scallops and by 9:10
I was in the emergency room. By midnight I was at the Big Hospital and by 2 am Monday had
a stint installed. Seemed like a great cardiac team and they treated me well. But I can tell
you they don’t know anything about poison ivy. Had to get my butt out of there to survive.
Right now, immediate summer plans are on hold, but we’ll see how long that lasts. We were
scheduled to leave for the Finger Lakes Live Steamers yesterday morning and that is now delayed.
In the words of that great philosopher, Jimmy Buffett - I’d rather die while I’m living, than live while I’m dead".
Once again, all the prayers and concern is greatly appreciated. All the best.
So… poison ivy causes coronary arteries to occlude! Who knew?
