Revo in a LGB Tram

My pal Jack has an LGB tram, and it hasn’t worked for a few years.

I took it back to my bench and had a look. There were lots of problems - the battery plug had lost continuity on one side, the lights and speaker were disconnected, and when I got the Revo RX working, it refused to run, so I had to re-solder the feed wires.

But I thought you’d find this interesting. He had the Revo just pushed down the side of the water tank, and the pins fouled the boiler so it wasn’t far in and was very visible. So I bent them.

Maybe they’ll bend back when someone wants to demolish this engine. Here’s how it looks with the Revo tucked down behind the water tank. The white plug is the feed to the roof for the speaker and lights.

decorum precludes me from saying more than:

OUCH!
