Large Scale Central

Retired Boxcar Line Side Track Shack

Since winter won’t seem to go away and too much time on my hands, I used an old Bachmann boxcar body and lots of stuff from the scrap bin to build this…

-Kevin.

That looks great, nice job. guess we should have a while im waiting to see my track again thread I built this;)

Nice weathering and clever use of the Co2 tanks and the other “stuff”.

That came out great. Its great to see what can be built with used stuff laying around.

Thanks, guys! Yeah, there’s no shortage of junk in my scrap box.

-Kevin.

That’s purty darn good. Sumthin I been meaning to do…

Nice, I like the night shot.

Kevin,

That is really SUPERB!

Very nicely done. Superb weathering.

Doc Tom

Nice job, Kevin. Good pics also.

Kevin,

Very well done. I too like the weathering.

Very nice cameo Kevin.

Such a neat wall of tools in the work shop! I know that you set that up for the photo! Mine is a BIG mess! But don’t move a thing as I know where every thing is!

Paul Austin

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

Paul- I swear, the rest of my shop is a jumbled mess! I used the only clean area for the photo!

-Kevin.

Nice work Kevin!

Great idea and very nice work, Kevin…

Kevin
You have done a really good job setting up the box car and misc junk.
weathering is real good job.
Dennis

The one I built for GR mag (august and October 2005) is for sale if anyone wants to make me a silly offer.

Very nice Kevin, very realistic and imaginative overall…details, I like your treatment of the wooden barrels, so now I’m taking mine off the new water tank build I’m doing and painting the barrels like yours, also the hose is cool! And one more thing: I knew something was bugging me about my yard office and NOW I now what it is, seeing your project here…the front door of my build has no porch ROOF overhang! I’ll fix that. We don’t want the workers getting rained or snowed on standing outside the office door!

Thanks again, guys.

-Kevin.
