Your wife has real talent Joe. You say those are Japanese shield replicas? A lot of casting there. What are they made of?
Dick, they are called ‘mon’, or family emblems used to identify families or clans in the Japanese feudal system-that- was. Worn on clothing, or on ‘buttons’ on the netsuke cord, they instantly told anybody looking who you belonged to. A current example is the Mitsubishi three-diamond symbol.
Just sayin’.

Terry,
Thanks for the detailed description.
Dick,
They are fired stoneware. Wife has her own kiln in the garage.
Nice job Noel, As usual the R.R. looks great and the Tug is cool as well.

Yesterday guys came over and we install the bridge. Went pretty well with 5 of us and handtruck on one end and dolly’s on the other end to make the turn to go across the R.R. .
Slid the bridge after lined up across planks to get across the pond.
Now the R/C Tug and Barge can clear under now.

Fill in the walk way to the bridge after raising it 8 inches.
Have a large cement frog that lwe had to pipe up the pump water line on one end that went under the bridge and hooked up the lighting that is under the bridge.
Tested it last night and sure lights up the pond.

We also installed the power pole for the lines going to the storages sheds. Raised up to 13 ft. now to clear going over top of bridge. That took a little time with a 10 pound slug hammer to get the post down in the base for the right height.
Had to take up the line slack and make a PVC saddle for the wires to lay in and then mounted on the insulator.

Terry, thanks for the info. Lot more comfortable wearing mon for family identification than a kilt on a breezy day eh?
[b]Noel,
The bridge looks great! I was afraid the project would take much longer as the new SF-Bay bridge section has taken at least 10 years. That’s longer than it took to build both spans in the 1930s.
Noel,
The new bridge looks great. I can’t wait to see it the next time we are in CA. We will plan to stay longer next time.
Hey can we get a better shot of that Tug and barge…

I agree Noel, A Youtube Video button would be great. The tug is cool as hell, as usual your Railroad and pond are great. Now the trick is to see if you can catch some fishy’s with the barge.
Nick
Nice work Noel

This is only place I have problems.
Waiting on Bob Mc. when he has some extra time to help and try to fig. out how to get my setting on my browser to work on this Link.
On Livestream, u-tube, photobucket and other train links no problem? So until then, just have to post a link for now. Noel & Jane
