Repair Shop Update

Been a while since I posted an update to the Repair Shop project, so here’s a quick 2-minute video to show you how things are coming along. The roof trusses are installed over the repair bay and interior lighting in this part of the building is operational. There is a shop heater on the left side with a fire flicker circuit installed. Two work benches and a wall-mounted winch are along the end wall. One of the work benches has a kerosene lantern with another fire flicker circuit. There is a temporary work bench made from oil drums and a wall-mounted shelf along the long wall. Near the front double doors, there is another wall-mounted work shelf and a trash barrel along the center wall.

I still need to add the flue from the shop heater up through the roof and paint the figures that go into this part of the building. Next, I move on to the machine shop and forge parts of the structure (to the left of what you are seeing in the video.) With all the shop machinery, the overhead belt system, and the array of blacksmith tools, this section will have lots more detail and clutter than the relatively empty repair bay you see here.

Bob

Nice Bob. Way more detail than I’m capable of. How will visitors see that work?

Great work Bob thanks for sharing.

Wow! That’s a model? I felt like I was walking around.

When you’re done, make sure you take it outside to get some pictures, so the landscape will appear in the distance; it will just add to the realism you have already built.

Well done.

Awesome work Bob. It will be a masterpiece of your railroad.

Amazing work. Do post a video again when the place gets messed up.
