Just about the time I had enough points for a free car, they dropped the program.

Yes, I bought several items thru the LGB Frequent Buyers Club, but truthfully most items in that program were the Warehouse “Dump” Sale items that we see today. However, they were still at a great price for the time. Dealers killed that program because they didn’t like it (not enough $$$ in it for them).
Don’t know how the new LGB Club will do…but I’m waiting on the LGB Club’s Santa Fe Boxcar due to arrive at my dealer’s store next month.

Back in '92 I was modeling RhB in HOm really big time! LGB was that stuff at the hobby shop that was noted as “really big” but odd looking.
No buyers’ club, no bull roar, instead accurate models that appeared with clockwork regularity, BEMO went as far as having “vote for your next favourite model” write ins. What got the most votes would be produced. None of this “Ideas Box” bull roar!
Ahemm, just occured to me, five year warranty with that Club Membership, isn’t there? Wonder how that will work out here in NA?
