Nice looking Bob. How big is your diameter on the new loop? or I should ask what is the total length of track from the upper loop to where the lower section passes under? Grade. Chuck
Just about 50 feet of run, and a 15 inch rise. Works out to a quarter percent grade, give or take.

Both spline are screwed down into the top of the 4x4 with 3" long square head deck screws. Inside one is screwed down tight, and the outside one is shimmed if necessary, then screwed down too.

Well, there's Sunday June 5th for "New England Large Scale 2011", and then TrainOps 2011 in September.

I believe 100" of run (almost 8’) and 1" rise is 1% grade. So 50’ run (or 6*100" sections) and a rise of 15" would be about a 2-1/2% grade. I dunno?

Yep your right.

Rise
___ * 100 = Grade

Run

So that figures out to 2.5% grade

RIGHT! 2.5, not .25… carry the one… yea, thats it

How long do we have to carry the one??? I’m getting tired…

Not much longer, I’m just about done. Track down and leveled. Just need to add the cosmetic ties in the gaps.

Good looking layout, Bob.

Looking good Bob.

I can’t wait until all this rain and snow goes away so I can go out and work on my layout. Grrrrrrr!

Thanks guys. Rain here today so I’m in the shop, repairing a couple of switches that will end up at Pearce.

Looking good Bob. I hope your weather continues to behave,

Supposed to be nice through the weekend, and nothing on my plate but hobbies!
