Re-pair small Turntable

We let some trees seedlings grow and one had to be cut down because it moved the alignment of the pivot/sealed bearing shaft. Didn’t think the root would go that deep but it did.

This is the photo of the tree cut off and had to dig out the shaft housing and reset.

At least we installed a plug for the lighting that made it easier to remove after un-bolting the 3 foot table off the pivot pad.

All back together again.
Had to realign the tracks and level them.
We sunk the shaft down another inch with spacers on the pad mounting to make it easer to adjust the table height. We didn’t have that option before.

Seems like after a few yr’s, a lot of stuff has to be upgraded or repaired.
Here is some more photos for our train group.

Grist Mill water way repaired.

Set up area track Signals.

Pine Tree Jct. Signals.

Remove our over wt. kat (Peanut) from the 4 foot Cover Bridge so trains can get to the layout from the set up area. She keeps knocking it off the 2 X 6’s.
(Check out the leg hanging out of the middle of the bridge.)

wow looks great and a silly kitty cat

Noel,

Glad you got that turntable repaired. Looking good.

I love the cat in the bridge. Reminds me of my track inspector Calie, she likes to do the same thing on different areas of my railroad. Great looking turntable and layout.
