Re-lettering an LGB Forney

I want to re-letter a C&S LGB Forney to White Pass.

Having never done this before I have a couple of questions and need a little help.

1). How do I remove the old lettering. Can some one reccomend a solvent or technique. I’m pretty sure that the Forney is black all the way through.

2). Can anyone reccomend a DECAL supplier? In addition to the White Pass Lettering, I also have an unlettered 3 truck Shay that I want to put my road name on.

I use brake fluid to remove lettering. It softens up the paint and lets you remove it. Dont let it sit too long, just long enough to soften the lettering, and dont smear it all over the place, just over the lettering. It will dull the paint a bit.

For decals, our own Stan Cedarleaf is second-to none.
