How are the rating stars on threads made. I haven’t found anyway to contribute to a thread’s rating.
Steve,
At the top of a topic you will see a line like this
(http://freightsheds.largescalecentral.com/users/thejoat/website/ratings0.PNG)
You can click on one of the gray stars to “rate” the topic.
After you do this, you will see something like this
(http://freightsheds.largescalecentral.com/users/thejoat/website/ratings1.PNG)
Depending on where you click on it, of course. I’m not sure how much it is being used yet, but it does average out all the ratings.
And the rating gets averaged just like consumer reviews i.e. if the first rating is four stars and the next one just one it gets bumped back to 2.5 stars.
Ack. I sure hate forgetting to uncheck the send me notifications box.
