Rain

In the Bible, forty days and forty nights of rain produces a flood of biblical proportions, or perhaps, just a mediocre movie. In beautiful Deer Park, its just spring. We did get a bit of a break this morning, though, snow, mixed with hail. No rainbow, though.

Here in NW New Mexico we got rain too. It measured to .16 inch in 4 min. and gone. But it did rain. BTW is was also blowing at 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph. Also lots of dust, dirt, and elm seeds. Man the car needs washing, the dirt and rain drops just turn to mud.

But being a New Mexican we never slight the rain when we can get it. The drought continues, and what extra water we have, we have to send down stream to SoCal so they can wash there cars… Go Figure.

This is how I measured the rain: lots of days to work on turnouts, track and anything else that is floating around.

Nice here. Middle 70’s. Rain last night from our first thunderstorm.

They promised us tornados and the like. Rained for a few minutes this morning. Partly cloudy and breezy today.

Yesterday, we had to pack up the train display at Sand Springs 'cause the wind kept blowing the trains over.

We had a little dribble of rain a couple nights ago but we probably won’t see anymore until possibly July. We’ll be in the 90s this coming week. Summer’s coming.

Snowing again.

We haven’t had too much rain this spring but the wind has been awful. Just enough to make it uncomfortable with temps in the 50’s.

Had some rain the other morning, but by the time I got home it had stopped. So its been railroad rehab time around here. Now that the first train of the year has run, they are calling for rain for the next 3 days. :frowning:

Thunder and lightening squall just went through. Gunny, the Wonder Dog would not let me out of his sight. The chickens were freaking out, hilarious sight.

Steve my sources tell me you hid under the bed

Yeah, Rooster was hiding among the chickens.

Things running normal here. Rain & a gentle 40mph breeze in town. We’re expecting Spring to arrive as usual between July 4-7. Hopefully our annual 7 day Summer about the end of August.

All is well!

Really weird… Sun is shining, birds are singing, grass is wet from recent rain, hail on the deck, and gentle snow is falling. Its time for a second cup of coffee.

I just had a glance up the mountain, sure looks like it’s snowing up there, too. Just as well the National XC team will show up for Spring training next month.

Here in Ottawa, today has been a grand day. We seem to have hit about 17Cwith only a gentle breeze. Full sunshine too, with no clouds.

The forecast shows about the same for tomorrow morning (Tuesday), but the rain is to hit in the afternoon and continue until Saturday at least…

F1/29 tornadoes kept wrecking trains.
