Large Scale Central

Railroad Family Tree

So Friar Fred sent an e-mail around and asked that it be shared here which I thought was a fantastic idea.

“Please note this disclaimer”: Some may question the accuracy of these as in some cases only portions of the former railroad was taken into the larger railroad. If nothing else, a nice display of old logos.

Can’t see the purdy pickchures.

Error 404. Must authenticate.

Yup, I see a lot of nothing here too.

Welp …was afraid of that with his e-mails and I thought I direct linked the location as well …ok forget it then and this is all Fred’s fault! Please give me bad reputation points as I’m starving for them and getting close to “well respected” which is scary new territory for me!

There Rooster, I gave you a point.

Sorry Rooster can’t figure out how to take off points, so I didn’t thank you, maybe I could report you if that would work? Had a few bheers with the good Friar this PM left him in good spirits… I think???

Probably snoozing after all that square pizza and Stella draft.

Da boss couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t hungry for supper.

I told her about that plate sized meatball sandwich with cheese.

Maybe we should tell our visitors about the Prescott Hotel so they can visit during the next “American Invasion”

Cool stuff.

There should be another chart where the CSX eats Conrail. Nom nom nom.

I have heard that conrail still exists to some extent? Off topic a bit but does anyone know? I was told they operate a large yard shared by CSX & NS and a few miles of track.

I was thinking that myself !

Yes Conrail still operates a small section down in the Philly /South Jersey area I believe.

Conrail still exists, all of it. The split agreement between CSX and NS kept Conrail as owner. Conrail leases the two RR’s there sections of track, and still operates the “Joint Use” areas for both RRs.

Nice explanation on Wiki
