Railroad cartoons

I ran across this cartoonist today, William Heath Robinson. His work was from a century ago, but still excellent!

Cliff;

Also do a search on Rowland Emett. His Far Twittering and Oyster Creek Railway cartoons are a joy to peruse.

And yes @Hines, Larson’s my fave as well. Here’s a search on his railroady toons.

Cliff, where was this image when Mik 2026 started. That would have been a great build for this year’s theme :grin:

Can’t help it… :crazy_face:

I do miss Greg Larson, I identified with his warped brain.

Look here Lou.

Guys;

I have a fair number of the Rev. W. Awdry’s small railway series books (prior to being rebranded as Thomas the Tank Engine). Those illustrations are also good as railway cartoons. Gordon’s haughty mannerisms are really amusing. “A goods train, a goods train! The shame of it, the shame of it!”

A few of Robinson’s cartoons. All from Alamy.
