Large Scale Central

Railroad Building Plans

Folks;
After years of traveling the woods, scouring old logging lines, and finally visits to Colorado narrow gauge, I can no longer travel due to age. So, now to build a G Scale layout and structures.

I was wondering if anybody know of Brewer Modeling Plans out of BC, Canada. They seems to have quite a few building plans but have had no success reaching them even though their website has been updated as recent as July 2024,
Anybody know how to reach these folks, or another site that has G Scale building plans?
Their Website is;
http://www.brewerplans.com/structures.htm

A shout out to all modelers out there!

That website is working for me. I’m in Florida USA. Could it be blocked in Canada???

It works for me as well. Must be 10 years ago I got a few sets including the sand house at Chama, made a fine model for my layout. Very nice gentleman, also a famous boat designer!

What do the plans look like? Or do you have to get them enlarged elsewhere? Are these full size plans on large sheets of paper.

I’ll give you a hint …click on the link

Nope must be in plain sight. Must be missing it. I see drawings but no sheet size instructions . Are they on A2 A3 A4?
Similar to Garden Texture plans/instructions or more basic like NGSL?

EDIT: I guess what I am asking. Do the plans allow building on top of the plans and do they include wood quantities sizes to pre-cut? e.g. 37 ½ x ¼ x 7 inch pieces of wood or do they leave it up to the individual to decide?

Well, it looks like I wasn’t very clear (typical). The Website is reachable with no probelms, but the phone number, fax and email do not work. Phone gives me a "you can’t call that number from your location, and the email mailbox returns of an error that the mailbox is full.
Sorry

don’t know, the phone and email does not work

awesome! There may be hope then.

Ted Brewer passed away in 2021.

OH WOW!
Talk about me being a johnny come lately. I truly appreciate the information given. A life well lived by what I get from the article.
Any idea about the railroad plans that he fostered? I would like to get a hold of a few of them?

You might try the Australian distributor if the Canadian addresses no longer work…

I contacted Les Smith by email and FB over 2 weeks ago (25Jul) and have not received a reply. :confused:

Les is still in business distributing plans in Australia.
My plans arrived today and they’re full size.
The exchange rate favours the USA currently, so keep that in mind when getting costings.

I get my plans for structures from just about all old RR magazines, etc., Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette is where most come from for my NG railroading. I just get the plan I want to use and scale it up in the Large Scale that I model in, after you do one the rest will become easier for sure. I enjoy building this way, your choices are many and modeling is the part of the hobby I enjoy the most.

What is the payment method you used?
Thanks
