Railfanning in Baldwin, KS, Lawrence, KS, and Guthrie, OK

In the last two weeks we traveled north to Baldwin, KS, visiting the Midland RR, and south to Guthrie, OK, visiting the train station museum.

The video is made of stills from the two locations. Sadly, we got to Baldwin just as they were closing and didn’t get to ride the trains or go inside many of the passenger cars. Featured are RockIsland E-6, E-8, RS-3, RS-3M, NW-2 and a variety of passenger cars and MOW equipment.

nice pictures, Jim

Jim,

My Grandparents lived 14 miles out of Guthrie on 320 acres from 1955 to 1972, I spent a lot of time hanging around that station and my first new car had a picture taken in front of it, trackside. Great memories, I’ve also visited it within the last 3 years and the museum is pretty good. Lots of memories from that part of the World.

Very cool Jim.
I love to see the railfan posts.
