The helicopters are the worst. They ruin everyone’s experience of the sounds of steam railroading. The last Fall Event that the EBT ran, the owner and his family had a chartered helicopter that followed every trip. There are no good videos of that final operation.

I always thought that shoulder launched missiles should be carried by rail fans just for that possibility (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

I once waited several hours for SP 4449 to come by. When it did, it was traveling at track speed and took about 15 seconds for engine and train to pass. Next time I’ll go down town and look at it at the depot.
