Railcraft rail + C&OC Ry tie strips

I have a bunch of 6 foot weathered code 250 aluminum rail. The box has railcraft hand written on it by the previous owner. I’ve handlaid quite a bit in my basement but now I’m thinking about doing something outside. Handlaying a bunch more isn’t real appealing right now so I’ve been looking at tie strips.
I have one section of SV narrow gauge strip and the rail fits it perfectly. I’ve been looking at the COCRY.COM site and they have tie strips for code 250 that are quite a bit cheaper than SV. The problem is that it says their ties strips are only for C&OC Ry. and Micro Engineering code 250 rail.
I’ve gone out on the world wild web and have found when searching for RailCraft a site that says Railcraft is Micro Engineering. http://slvfnorway.homestead.com/Railcraft.html
Can anyone confirm this. Like I said the C&OC Ry tie strips are much cheaper.

Thanks for any information,
Dave

C&OCRy is very accommodating. Give them a call and they’ll probably ship you one strip to test quite cheaply. Or, post of a short piece of your rail to them for a fit test.

Rail Craft is the same as Micro Engineering. The same company…
Their tie strip has been serving me well for over twenty years.

Thanks guys. I just email C&OCRy asking about getting one piece to test.
Fred are you using the ME tie strips or C&OCRy tie strips?
