Rail fanning LA&C RR #4

While out and about I was able to get some pics of LA&C RR #4 stopping at Amboy station. Company varnish and the freight caboose were in tow.

I tried to get a better picture of the freight cabooses door. I know it’s fairly unique, as is the practice of putting a caboose on a passenger train. I’m told the caboose handles the mail and special LCL freight.

Here’s another shot from behind

The varnish. “Lake Erie” and “Conneaut Creek”

I was trying to see what they were hauling this evening but I got shooed away.

After they pulled out the station was lonely once again…

Nice pictures and layout, Terry… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Nicely done, Terry.

If you saw some air holes in that crate, it might have had a certain Rooster inside!
