Radder's Mill

Some of you may recall a few years back on another thread under another topic a rather lengthy discussion about where this mill should go.

That being said, the mill is still in it’s original position, it’s appearance has changed. The base it was sitting on was warping and the Precision Products stone panels had cracked in a few spots. It needed an upgrade.

Old base:

I decided to use the 1’x6" PVC Trimplank panels and glued three together to form the base with a 2" height. The base measures out to 18"x 22". Over the sides I glued on the Natural Stone Mosaic panels that the Big Box hardware stores sell.

I think it turned out pretty good. Much more natural appearing.

Well done Ken. A really nice looking with the natural stone

Radder Enterprises expanding again. Looks great Ken.

Looks good Ken!

Yup! It was the way to go.

Ken, what a wonderful setting you’ve made for the mill…

Dad and Ken sitting in a tree!

Ken,

It does look good. What glue to attach the Precision Plastic to the plastic boards?

What glue to glue the plastic wood to itself?

What I used originally for the PP stuff was Goop. I used the same stuff for the Stone Mosaic panels.

For the PVC board I used PVC cement, same stuff used for plastic pipe. Glued and clamped like wood boards. But ya have to work fast, that stuff dries quick…
