Question on programming a transmitter/receiver

I have one of those inexpensive transmitter/receivers. I am using it for my Matra crane project. I am somewhat confused as to the set-up procedure between the transmitter and the receiver. The transmitter has 8 buttons. The receiver has 8 relay switches. Each of the eight buttons on the transmitter should operate a corresponding relay switch on the receiver. Here is the link to what I purchased. Can anyone make sense of the instructions?

Dan, Sorry. I don’t speak Chinglish.

That being said, I assume you’re trying to figure out the methods of making relays latch versus momentary? The wiring seems pretty obvious.

From looking at the similar devices, I suspect there is a ‘learn’ button inside the (relay) case somewhere.

Similar units are sold by Amazon and on Alibaba/Aliexpress. As it is probably chinese, I’d try to find an original seller/manufacturer on alibaba or aliexpress and send them an email. I have had good communications with them - not always understandable, but they tend to reply quickly.

For example, Aliexpress has the item

But it is ‘no longer available’ as they seem to have a newer 12-ch version:

Pete’s first link looks like the exact same device and the instructions seem to be the same as on the eBay page…

Learning method :
press the learning button on the receiver board .when you hear the sound :“BI”
it means enter into the learning state , and then press the relative button of the remote control .when you hear the 3 sound “BIBIBI” ,it means learn successfully ,
A: Signal non-lock(jog): press the NO.1 button of the remote control to learn
B: Signal self-lock:(self-lock): press the No.3 button to learn ,each channel is independent of the others ,
C: Signal inter-lock: press the NO.2 button to learn
D: 1CH-4CH is jog, 5CH-8CH is self-lock press the NO.4button to learn
E: 1CH-4CH is jog, 5CH-8CH is inter-lock press the NO.5button to learn
F: 1CH-4CH is inter-lock, 5CH-8CH is self-lock press the NO.6 button to learn

clearing method:
press the learning button for about 10 seconds ,and when you hear “BI” again. it means clear successfully ,

Can’t say I can make any sense of that either - for starters; what sound is BI? I suppose that’s whatever sound it makes and if it repeats 3 times that means you did good. There is only one button on the board that I can see, so that must be the Learn button. My problem is I don’t know teh difference betweem self-lock and inter-lock. I’m pretty sure lock means latch, but that’s where I get lost.

My guess is that the various ‘locks’ are either latch on when pressed, or momentary on, or always on. No idea which is which!

Shouldn’t be too difficult to test the various options. Just connect a 12V supply and a 12V bulb per the wiring diagram.
