Is there anything train-related in the Quartzite, Ariz., area?
Williams is the closest thing I know of with the Grand Canyon RR, thats a great day trip.
Blythe supposedly has or had a tourist RR at one time but I dont know the status of it today, nothing comes up when I do a search.
I don’t think that railroad is running as far as Blythe or if it is it’s just freight. I’ll do some klooking.
Thanksd

Tom Smith said:I can vouch for that. The mainline crosses I-40 a couple of times and parallels it closely in a few spots. Seemed like every overpass I came to there was a train in view.Doug Arnold said:Drive North to Needles. There's some good railfannning watching the BNSF trains...westbound and eastbound

Holy moly! All these years I’ve been going through Joshua Tree every summer and never even knew that was there! I’ll have to see if I can arrange a visit next time. That 15" gauge C&S loco is awesome.
