The Pacolet Valley Railroad landed a new account. A photo from the press release. Ralph
Always good to pick up a new online industry, instead of it going to those new fangled trucks.
I guess we are to weigh in with what we think?

The PVRR’s ace salesman, Hansen B. Regal Esq., has sold two more accounts.
They will make their debut on the PVRR’s inaugural run to Mechanicsburg, Pa.
New routes offer new opportunities.
As Bob says, stay tuned.
Jerry,

You know that account could weigh heavy on your equipment. You might even need new motive power to pound the rails.
I just don’t know what to say after all those comments from the heavyweights!
What did you use for decals?
Doug,
I printed the decals on my color laser printer. I used the white waterslide paper. The lettering
is a “negative”.
This is a Buddy L Santa Fe boxcar. I am a bit behind in my painting, so I didn’t want to paint the car.
So I had to get a little creative to cover the original lettering. The Santa Fe round herald is under the “world”.
Because of the door just to the upper left, only something round would easily cover the SF herald.

We have a laser printer that needs some work so I guess I’ll have to break down and fix it. We use an inkjet now.
Keep up the good work.
I may try some of that decal paper for inkjet before I tackle the laser printer.
It says to spray the printed inkjet decal with Krylon gloss spray. Can I use dullcoat over it after it’s applied to take away that gloss?
I may just try it but I wondered if anyone has tried it.
Doug Arnold said:Doug, I spray mine with Krylon Clear Acrylic right after it comes off the printer. I use Matte, or Gloss, depending on the application. I would avoid using any clear lacquer(laser printed decals) directly on the decal. I used a lacquer the first time awhile back and it "ate up" the decal. I believe Testor's Dullcote is a lacquer. If so, I would clearcoat it with an acrylic before using the Dullcote. The lacquer may work fine with Ink-Jet printed decals. Ralph

You can do that no problem. I don’t use Dullcoat but use other matte sprays after applying decals. Also, after an initial spray of clear coat after printing I give it a coat or two of ModelMasters flat clear coat -

Ralphie’s bastard cousin is coming to Mechanicsburg on the next PVRR northbound. He was hoping for a family reunion And then couple Ralphie the Rail Scale to the southbound

Some of you may have already seen these in Rooster’s open house thread. Now I consider Ken a good friend and really wouldn’t do this to just anybody I came up with the idea for a Boar’s Head Brand spoof. I emailed Jon Radder, as he had the photo of Ken I wanted. Jon, being the kind hearted soul he is, designed the logo and chose the font. I sent him two slogans for an opinion. Jon liked them both, so I used one on each side. Jon sent me the art work back…and I laughed so hard I cried. Originally Brunt’s Head Brand Provisions was supposed to be under the photo. My printer was messing up so I sent the decals out. The head came back HUGE
I had sent the original file and not the resized artwork. As you can see, the head barely fit…but I think it’s better this way

Now before Marconi was “Hollywood”, he gave himself the name “The Goaded One”. Now what can I do with that ? Not much, but here it is anyway. I’m sure the “Hollywood” car will be fun Ralph
