Large Scale Central

PVRR excursion to Cumming, Georgia

The President and CFO of the Pacolet Valley Railroad decided it was time for a road trip. As the PVRR has no “President’s” car, the PVRR coupled it’s engine to an observation car and hit the rails. Our destination was the “Dakota & Southern”, RJ DeBerg’s railroad in Cumming, Georgia. Of course, as with any road trip, something goes wrong. Lights on the loco mysteriously quit working. Fortunately, a minor problem that didn’t curtail operations.

Sorry to those with small monitors or slow connections for the large pictures. Somewhere in the process of going through hundreds of pictures my “resizer” switched and I wasn’t about to go through it and do them all over again. Many thanks to RJ for graciously allowing our visit. The PVRR looks forward to a return visit on the Dakota & Southern. Ralph

Nice!

…grinning…

wonderful…

A couple of very short videos of RJ’s Dakota & Southern shot with my cheapy point and shoot camera.
Hope the links work.

Great pictures.

Great pictures Ralph. These may be the first photos of RJ’s railroad to leak out. I don’t recall seeing it before.

Thanks for posting the pics Ralph. Yep my RR has not been seen here before as I can not figure out how to post pics as I do not have a web site or other means. Depend on folks like Ralph to help me out. He did a fine job of taking pics. Better than some I have even taken my self of the RR. Made me think whos RR is this. Later RJD

RJ runs DCC and mostly QSI, which sounded great on his Diesels. It was great to meet RJ and I enjoyed shootin the bull with him. Ralph

RJ, It's the railroad that makes the pictures look good ;) See you in Dalton. Ralph

I agree with Ralph RJ - That is a nice looking railroad. Glad to finally see it

Bob offers all users a free 5Mb picture storage space. Just click on My Files in the Reply box. If you need help using it, Bruce has put together a tutorial - I think it’s in the articles section.
