Large Scale Central

Pulling, and pushing, some cars [/b]

Hi all,
Some of you may have read my post in the “for sale” forum about my friend’s loosing battle.
Anyway one of the things he always wanted to do was bring his Mallet out to my railroad and put on a whole bunch of cars just to watch it run. Well, with one thing and another, we just never got it done. This past week while checking and sorting out his locomotives to sell I had a sudden inspiration, and believe me that doesn’t happen very often. I called my Brother-in-Law and he came out and did some video of the locomotives pulling a long string of cars. We were able to get it done and to him so that he could enjoy the sight at least on screen if not in person. The locomotives are both 1:22 and the cars are all 1:20 but for this, what the heck.
By the way these two locomotives will be coming up for sale as soon as we can work out a fair price for everyone. I will post the notice here first.
Thanks for taking a look.
Rick.

Nice video and cool thought so your freind could enjoy.

Great video. I love the size of the buildings and bridges compared to the trains. Something that’s missing in a lot of garden railroads.

That is cool.

Great video on a beautiful layout! I love the shot of the train coming across the bridge with the long shadows (about the 5 min 30 second mark).

Thanks for sharing.

Rick,

Beautiful railroad and video. Nice idea of creating it. Thank you for sharing.

GREAT video Rick , very well done , and the video made me miss my two SV locos and the sounds , thanks for shareing these , please do more vids .

Great video Rick, that is a fine looking railroad and a huge yard. How much property do you have? I hope your friend enjoys the video as much as I did. Do those cars belong to you or your friend?

We’ll keep your friend and his family in our prayers.
Chuck

Great video Rick. Very nice of you to do this for your friend. Wow your layout is looking GOOD! Are those cars yours? Are some of them Phil’s Narrow Gauge or AMS? Because I can’t get AMS box cars anymore, I thought I would build a few of Phil’s. Nice looking train! The LGB Mogul was really working. THX for posting.

Very nice!

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the interest and nice comments.
My friend was able to watch most of the video yesterday and was very pleased with his locomotives powering the cars around the layout according to his daughter.

The cars were/are mine all 1:20 rolling stock, by AMS, Bachmann, and a couple of the box cars go back to the old “budget box car” project on 1:20 forum several years ago. No PNG cars in that string. Oh I forgot the flat is a scratch built car.

Gary, really good to see you up and at em.

Thanks again
Rick
