Public request of Jack Lynch -- Bachmann Corp

Jack Lynch is the new Communications Manager for Bachmann.

Instead of vague references as to customer decision points, here’s some specific requests:

  1. Please publicly advertise you offer spare parts - you decide what is most desired.
  2. Please establish an on-line listing of what parts are actually available and can be ordered.
  3. Please establish a “Repair/Parts Hot Line” with a dedicated phone number and technically savy humans to answer questions instead of consumers relying solely on MLS and LSC for repair assessments.
  4. Please work on quality control implementing what you know worked for LGB. LGB’s image of quality ultimately dwarfed criticism of product appearances. Bachmann has the product appearances not the image of trusted quality.

Jack, please keep us informed as to your efforts.

Thanks,
Wendell Hanks

All Very Good Suggestions!

Um, why post that here instead of the Bachmann forum??

or just send Jack an email?

Personally, I find these public proclamations off putting!

Question: Why not send an e-mail directly to Jack (and presumably not use this forum)?
Answer: Jack already knows the message.
He is now in a position to influence – HOWEVER, if we don’t make the statement of need, he is simply speaking for himself.

As to just using the Bachmann site, please note: On our site the announcement of Jack’s successful employment with Bachmann was made and it brought a list of encouraging responses. Therefore, there is credibility from us, so the request has credibility and was made here and on MyLS to Jack.

Did you see the same announcement applauding Jack and hopes for his success on the B’mann site and similar responses from the Bachmann enthusiasts, if so, please go ahead and make those requests.

Wendell

Jack has posted a response to the above over on MLS if you want to read the reply!!! It’s under his name “Bucksco”

Thanks Jerry-
Jack clearly responded.
Now, here’s hopes he can influence the corporate folk with his knowledge of the former singular leader in “G” as to a reputation for reliability.
In this hobby it pays to ask publicly – if kindly and politely.

Old adage! If ya don’t ask ye shall never receive an answer. Sometimes it’s not what you want to hear other times it is, but at least it’s a response right??? The Regal

Wendell,
until the Tsnumai/Blackstone debacle, the Bach-man was the perfect ambassador for Bachmann. He was a friendly face behind a seemingly not so friendly corporation. However, after the flak that arose over the previously mentioned episode, the Bach-man became less congenial/less tolerant and those who were the most fervent supporters looked elsewhere.

While Jack was the perfect spokesperson for LGBoA and for Silvergate, somehow I think his message will be diluted by the faceless hierarchy in the company.
