Large Scale Central

Alrighty, so this may seem a bit odd–but go ahead, make fun of me all you like. I decided I wanted some different narrow gauge stuff, but I don’t really have the talent to build a locomotive from scratch. Enter Lego

Yep, it’s a Climax–about 18 inches long. Two motors, working cylinders in the center.

Small Plymouth yard switcher.

Passenger/light freight engine, Forney/Mason Bogie(both trucks pivot to go around Lego curves), boxcar, D&RGW short caboose

And the most recent project, a 15" coach that weighs about three pounds. Have a combine with different roof in front. On to buildings…

Water tank

Generic station(footprint about 8x18 inches)

Sawmill(18 inch x 24 inch or more), includes operating saw, log carriage, and drill press(no inside pics at the moment), all run by an overhead drive with rubber bands. Nothing is really done yet–the basic shell is done, but I need to dig through my parts bin and figure out what to use for handrails and cab fixtures, bell, etc. Headlight is another worry, but that can’t be THAT hard… And yes, I have too much time on my hands

Hey,
I think it’s great.
A train, is a train, is a train.
Fine job.

Robbie, You need to get a job at LegoLand in CA. They could use your talent.

LEGO!

I bought a couple of their freight sets back in 2005 or 06. Still have them sitting in the boxes unopened. If I had more space in the house I’d have them up and running. Matter of fact if my wife would give up our living room for trains I’d have Lego and Lionel O layouts in there. She just won’t let me take that room over though :frowning:
