PRR N8 Cabin Car Project

I started this project Many years ago but I had trouble making the copula out of brass brass. I recently decided to get this project going again. I have been working on 3D printing and thought this be a good application for this method of construction.

Initial results look promising but it needs more work on the windows.

I also decided to try to print the entire cabin car. I have the 3D models made but now they need optimized for printing.

Paul,

Neat project. 1:29 or 1:32?

what are you using for cad program? I use Solid works full time so that is what I build my models with.

It is printed in 1:29.

I am also using SolidWorks. I typically draw all my models to full scale then scale the parts. If I have any details that are required for the scale model or the manufacturing process I will add them after the scale feature on the SolidWorks feature tree.
